If you're reading this, I'm going to hazard a guess and assume you're a med student. I bet friends and family outside of medicine are proud and think you have everything planned out, but they have no idea of the fear and uncertainty of CaRMS and matching to your residency program. Am I at least a little right?
Even if I just hit the nail on the head for you, I can only slightly relate because I've only experienced it through my partner, a fellow med student at the time of writing this. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out what she needs to accomplish before CaRMS to match to a competitive specialty. The qualitative data of PGY-1s who've matched in the past, not just the stats released yearly. It wasn't easy because it wasn't published anywhere, but we did it.
So I thought, if it was helpful to one med student, it would likely be helpful to others. Which brings you up to speed to the website you're on right now.
